Michaela joined the family law department in August 2017.
Her career in law costs started in 2011 when she initially worked as a costs draftsman. A costs draftsman or draftsperson is a legal specialist who settles the legal costs of a court case.

Sean studied Law in Belfast graduating in 2005 and progressing to attain a Masters degree in Law in 2006. Making the move to Chester, Sean completed his Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in 2007.

Caroline qualified as a solicitor in October 2010 and has specialised in wills, lasting powers of attorney, probate and contentious probate work since 2014.
Caroline has successfully acted for claimants and defendants in will disputes and claims brought under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
Rebecca joined the family team in April 2019, having qualified as a solicitor in February 2018.
She has specialised in care proceedings, private children cases and domestic abuse cases since beginning her legal career in 2015.
Originally from Northern Ireland, Rebecca attended Liverpool John Moores University where she graduated in law with first class honours. She is a committee member of Resolution Merseyside and the Family Business Committee at Liverpool Law Society.
Ian is a Director and the Chief Executive Officer of Canter Levin & Berg.
After many years of heading our marketing and personal injury departments, Ian has now taken over the running of the practice, splitting his time between managing and promoting the business.
He is very well known and highly regarded in legal and insurance circles.
Katharine studied Law at the University of Liverpool and thereafter at the College of Law, Chester. Following a period of travel, Katharine joined Canter Levin & Berg as a trainee solicitor in November 2005 and is now Head of our Employment Law department. She deals in all aspects of Employment Law but specialises in providing non contentious employment advice and compliance to both small business ventures and larger companies.…
Robert has over 12 years’ experience in relation to wills, lasting powers of attorney, Deputy, probate and trust work.
Robert qualified as a solicitor in December 2007 and joined Canter Levin & Berg in 2008.
Martin is a Director and the Chief Operating Officer of Canter Levin & Berg and splits his time between commercial and employment law and practice administration. He has over 25 years’ experience dealing with a wide range of commercial and employment disputes.
He combines his experience in employment law with insolvency, intellectual property and company/partnership disputes.

Karen joined the firm as an office junior after completing her A-level studies at school in 1979.
Karen worked in various departments before becoming a clerk in the personal injury department in 2002, specialising in road traffic accident claims.
Her role at Canter Levin & Berg requires her to work closely with head of department, Claire Jansz, covering all aspects of personal injury and road traffic accidents.
Amanda graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2016. Having practised in the field of personal injury law and following a year of travel, she returned to specialise in family law.
Amanda works mainly in connection with children cases and is studying for her Masters’ in this area of law. She commenced her solicitor’s training contract with Canter Levin & Berg in September 2020.
Jude joined us in February 2019. She studied criminology at Bangor University and completed her legal training in Chester, qualifying as a solicitor in 2006.
Having practised criminal law, she moved to family law in 2008.
Jude represents clients at court, covering all aspects of children law including public (care proceedings) and private law children disputes, as well as special guardianship and domestic abuse.…
